I’ve always considered myself a bit of a contrarian, and I usually like going against the common opinion for things. Remember the whole thing about counterculture? Well when it comes to cooking I was always hesitant about cast iron because it seemed to be THE choice and people would not shut the fuck up about it.

You could ask what kind of pan to use and specify that you don’t want to use cast iron only to be met with people who fucking tell you to use a cast iron. Like alright give me the answer I don’t want to hear even though that is the answer I should hear. Read the room assholes.
