I really love (read: actually fucking hate) when I have a discussion about a certain subject and someone who thinks they can get by with bravado and charisma think they can outtalk someone who knows what they are talking about. I’ve had this happen with a game series that has been going on for many years and this person will go “what happened to this series,” while outing themselves as fucking nobodies who played the game more than a decade ago and hasn’t kept up with the times. I get that it’s fine to prefer the older games (which is kinda suspect if you don’t even give the newer ones a try,) but to say “what happened to this series” when you haven’t even been following it in the first place seems pretty fucking disingenuous to me. Also going on to compare the series to a series in a completely different genre? Fuck outta here with this shit and shut the fuck up you fucking douchebag.
