I mentioned that the place I went to, Dezerland, had a surprising amount of quality Sega arcade games, and I meant it when I said it. Shooters and racing games galore, I was able to play some House of the Dead 4 with a friend, and we got past the first boss until we decided to play something else. I tried Let’s Go Island with another friend, and same deal, we got through the first area and we had fun. The highlight of the trip was definitely Outrun 2 SP SDX, which is a handful. It’s basically Outrun 2, but a super deluxe version that support up to four players, and the actual seats are huge as fuck. It was amazing and the driving felt very nice. On top of that, I was able to try out Afterburner Climax and I had a blast (literally) with that one. The seat was very sensitive in that it moved around when you did stuff, so I’m glad it had a seatbelt. The game is pretty cool too and I wonder when I can play it again.
