When was the last time you ever used a ruler? I’m measuring something in regards to a cosplay idea I’m entertaining, and being able to measure stuff is actually a lot harder nowadays than I thought, because the prevalence of tech means that what am I supposed to do, put the actual ruler into the monitor and risk scratching it or having some weird magnetic interference happen? Nah. Well, good to know that nowadays there are online rulers that are absolutely to scale with the screen that you are viewing in as long as you zoom it to 100%, so it will make things a lot easier moving forward. It’s still just so surreal that some tools that we grew up with and always had with us (for better or for worse, because everyone I knew did that propeller thing with a pencil in the middle hole,) ended up being retired for no real good reason.
