Phil’s BBQ

When I was at the San Diego airport, I saw this restaurant called Phil’s BBQ and I decided to give it a shot. The place specializes mostly on sandwiches but does offer some small plates of barbecue but since the sandwiches seemed good based on their description, I went with the Philbuster or whatever it was called. It was a double cheeseburger with some pulled pork barbecue and an entire onion ring (that was large, I may add,) all sandwich would in a bun and honestly I had to pull it apart if I even thought about eating it because I don’t think I can unhinge my job that widely in a vertical sense. It also came with fries so that was that but the one thing that I really appreciated was that there is a fountain option for soda. I know airports often have a bad rap of being overly expensive when it comes to food but at least I was able to abuse the refills on the soda so I think I had myself for refills before getting on my plane back to Houston. All in all, pretty good place, would recommend if it’s a place that has more locations outside of the airport.
