I lived in the era where Walmart used to be open all the time, so you can get your bullshit shopping done at 3AM if you wish. I think the consequences of the pandemic quarantine have been a disaster if only because it means that stuff that used to be open all the time aren’t open anymore. This isn’t even limited to just Walmart now. A bunch of other stores (mostly restaurants) don’t operate past a certain hour after midnight now and after having a schedule that takes me through the night, that’s fucked up. I guess that means the night owls would have to constantly go to like a Wawa or some other gas station or a waffle house in order to get something if they didn’t do anything such as packing their own food while they’re out and about. Maybe go until midnight at least? I feel like that would help a lot but I’m not counting on it happening any time soon.
