I went to get something at a gas station and the things I took were items that coincided with a deal involving getting bottles of drinks complementary to the entire set of items that I was buying. I didn’t do this and opted to just get a fountain drink instead, but the worker mentioned that I could get some bottled drinks and they would essentially be free. It was nice because the person went out of their way to give me some cool stuff because it wasn’t an upsell for them. When I was looking at the items being ringed up I noticed on the register that the person was definitely right and the price did not change at the end when the items that were counted for the deal were scanned and added up. Just those little things are what makes people’s days so I wish the best for that person because again, that was fucking cool of them to do so.
