Girls Frontline 2

Got around to actually playing a new game on release, so this is a treat since the gameplay seems to be a bit different from what I’m used to. It reminds me a bit of Fire Emblem or rather Mario Rabbids due to how the grid setup and camera angles are presented to you. The characters are cute, Groza seems to be the early pick for me. I will say, the gacha system taking a lot of inspiration from the Hoyo games is a bit concerning, because I don’t really have too much experience with that system, and in a game like this, it seems awful to have to roll for weapons. That also means that they need to balance weapons, which probably means less characters in general. On one hand you can say that means the smaller pool means you have stronger characters, with each one having a bit more depth than usual, but I always liked having just a bunch to pick from and making your favorite through that method. There’s always gonna be someone for someone else somewhere, that’s what I like to think.
