Golden Boy

So the thing I had obtained in my day 2 of recovery post was the complete series of Golden Boy. Six episodes on two DVDs, talk about classic and old school. This series has always been special to me just for the sheer comedy it has along with having a very fantastic English dub as well. It’s just a show I can watch over and over and not get bored of it because every episode, even though there are only six of them, maintain a high quality that makes each of them good to watch on their own. It even … Continue reading Golden Boy

Ranko Sighting

In a specific friend group that I am in, we watched Idolmaster Cinderella Girls and we all took a liking to Ranko because of her perky attitude and general dorkiness she has going for her. It’s a good combination of being cute and cool at the same time and I think that is something that is a very hard thing to balance even in real life. With that said, the amount of merchandise she has is surprisingly a bit higher than other girls from her series. I guess her popularity is deserved since I believe international audiences like her as … Continue reading Ranko Sighting

Double Hoshizora

A very good friend of mine gave me these two adorable keychains of Rin Hoshizora and I’m looking to put them on either my lanyard or my car key wrist strap. Either or really, but I have to be sure I keep them clean even though the material itself used for these keychains are durable enough to withstand some cleaning. It was a nice time seeing these two friends visit because it’s always lively whenever they’re around and it feels a lot more personal considering that they travel about two to three hours to come visit. As for the keychains, … Continue reading Double Hoshizora

Frieren Quest Complete

I was definitely not expecting to be able to complete a set (so far, as volume 11 is slated to release in September) of this series in a decently moderate amount of time. Off the top of my head I believe the earlier volumes were way harder to obtain — especially volume 4. In my haste and perhaps desperation to obtain them in a timely manner, I ordered from quite a variety of different stores, and that is how I ended up with four copies of volume 4. Perhaps I can use this as a way to collect multiple sets, … Continue reading Frieren Quest Complete

Frieren Quest

This series has really taken the world by storm, as a lot of people I know who are entry level to fantasy anime like to call any kind of fantasy anime isekai, but those kinds of people don’t know what the fuck they’re talking about. Anywho, the anime finished its run and I’ve turned to getting the manga, which is actually a pain in the ass to obtain despite being distributed by Viz. Viz is usually very good about keeping stock for what they publish but trying to find the first few volumes of Frieren is pure suffering. I’m lucky … Continue reading Frieren Quest

Inside The Tentacle Cave Vol. 2

I talked about how Vol. 1 of this series caught my eye but I gave the most basic bitch summary of what it’s about that you could just use any sort of review and apply that 1:1 with what I said. Not this time. Gonna actually give my thoughts on this volume. Fiana, the woman pictured on the cover, is EXTREMELY attractive to me. She’s a stoic knight who is skilled at what she does, and that personality on a female knight archetype really ticks plenty of my buttons. On top of that, her design is plain pleasing to peer … Continue reading Inside The Tentacle Cave Vol. 2

Spy Family Code: White

I’m a month late but I got to see this in theaters with a group of friends and I enjoyed what I watched of it. To put it simply, it’s an easily approachable movie, and by that I mean you don’t have to know anything about the series (like watch the show or read the manga) to know what is happening in the film. It’s pretty much a contained story and it also has a good recap or rather introduction to the characters to those who don’t already know who they are. The pacing was very nice, and the visuals … Continue reading Spy Family Code: White
