Rimuru Hoodie

I got this when I was at Wasabicon and I’m loving it. The material is very soft, and reminds me of the kind of material used for sports jerseys. Now I can show how much I like stuff in public, especially when I’m at the arcade. If I were to go into specifics about it, I would say it’s a bit too long length wise. Same with the sleeves, but I can do that thing the cute anime girls do where they put their arms completely covered like some ghost or something. Continue reading Rimuru Hoodie

Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

I’ve had this Kokkoro plush for longer than I have had the not fumo, so I might be a bit biased by liking this one more. I think the general design and proportions are a lot more appealing to me but that’s not to say that I dislike how the not fumo was designed. I noticed that the bean had a similar (read: exact same) look at the plush so I decided to look at them together and lo and behold, they look the same. The sliced smile and the blushing cheeks just accentuate her expression to me and I … Continue reading Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

More Kokkoro merchandise! I was surprised when I got the bean plushie because it was flat as a pancake when it came in. I was worried that it was damaged but it inflated back up after some squishing in the inverse perpendicular direction. As far as the memory shard keychain goes, I’m interested in this thing not peeling out unlike the acrylic keychains I got for Fire Emblem Engage. I’ll be sure to treat it properly this time, but I’m keeping my head high this time. Continue reading Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

Nendoroid + Figure Spotting

Marine from Hololive and Lappland from Arknights. Both $45 from a neat second hand store. No idea if they’ve been opened, but I think the Lappland one is. Figures below: Really does look like someone had to sell a bit of their stash, and I think seeing a bunch of stuff come in at once tells a story of who the owner was. Either way, it’s pretty neat to be able to see these kinds of things in a relatively local area. I’ve gone on record by showing my disinterest in Funko Pops, because I feel like they’re super soulless. Continue reading Nendoroid + Figure Spotting

Cheerleader Rimuru

Birthday present from a very close friend of mine, and he’s here (along with Airi, Byleth, Lonsdaleite, and Rinwell.) One of my favorite aspects of this figure is the focus on the facial features. The “Why me?” expression Rimuru has is amusing, and the slimes underneath doing what I think is their version of a wave is pretty funny as well. You have one slime who just as unamused, and another one getting super into it. I’m happy I received this from my friend and I’ll be sure to take care of him. I am definitely having trouble with space … Continue reading Cheerleader Rimuru

Kokkoro (Not Fumo) Plush

Kokkoro from Princess Connect. Not a fumo, as in the Touhou style plush, but still from Gift nonetheless. I love how she turned out. Her stoic expression is conveyed very clearly and the stitchwork is very clean and even. Her hair is also done professionally, with a nice feel to it. Not to mention the flower corsage has some decent give to it as well. The only thing I would say is that she’s slouching a little bit when sitting down. I’m chalking it up to how she was shipped. Perhaps she just needs some time and fresh air to … Continue reading Kokkoro (Not Fumo) Plush

30MS SIS-GC69R ALKA-CARTI

What’s this? An entire month without any entries? Fuck, my bad. Anyway, I’ve been getting more and more into model kits and I’m slowly getting the hang of them. I’ve gone through the phase of getting an actual cutter (God Hand, bless,) and I’m still learning how the hell to use the sanding blocks. I think I’ve come a bit of a decent step up compared to my first try on the chitocerium model, so let’s go. Continue reading 30MS SIS-GC69R ALKA-CARTI

chitocerium VI-carbonia lonsdaleite

Second ever model I’ve completed. Still a bit rough on the edges, but I still love her nonetheless. Really need to invest in some better tools because the first half (the head, arms, and torso) were made from just pinching out the parts myself. It hurts the living shit out of my hands, and it leaves a lot of nubs that look rather unsightly. This specific one, Lonsdaleite, seems to be the leader of the group, which definitely explains why her model is the hardest one to find. I’m treasuring her. Continue reading chitocerium VI-carbonia lonsdaleite

chitocerium

Got one of these from AmiAmi because I saw some really nice art of the pictured character (blue armor.) I really dig the aesthetic of this series because it places you (as in the person building them) as the person who has freed them. They come in a case that also functions as the stand, and they’re in a fetal position (or rather curled up in a ball.) You unfold them yourself and then you get to building them, and I’m definitely excited to bring this one out to a little event happening on Sunday — bring model kits and … Continue reading chitocerium
