Meatloaf

Jist your basic no frills meatloaf. Making this thing has been very educational for me because I have been able to break out multiple Tuesdays that I don’t get to use often. I was able to use a food processor to grate some onions and carrots to add a lot of size to the thing. Basically it was filled good mushrooms, onions, carrots, and garlic. The meat was a combination of lean beef and lean pork and it helped immensely by not allowing it to leak so much fucking juice everywhere. The glaze was pretty tasty as well, with a … Continue reading Meatloaf

Cook Steak

Got around to using the cast iron again and went with a porterhouse. I’m not gonna comment on how prices are fucked to shit and how one thing was worth ten goddamn dollars, but I’ll just segue into what I really want to talk about it — the technique. So I used to pour the oil into the pan and heat it up, but when I would put the steak in the shit would start bubbling and splattering everywhere and I detested that annoying bullshit. I ended up oiling the actual steak and leaving the pan naked, and that turned … Continue reading Cook Steak

Grilled Mackerel

I tried grilling some salted mackerel that was inside of my freezer and I like to think I did a decent job but I just genuinely do not like the fish. I ended up hooking it up with some lime juice and pepper but it tasted pretty off to me not to mention it smells like absolute fucking ass. Someone told me it’s a very gamey fish and I can attest to that, the taste was just not there after being told by the internet that it’s a mild kind of taste. Maybe next time I should do the vinegar … Continue reading Grilled Mackerel

Kit Kats

I couldn’t stop myself when I saw these so I decided to buy them and have some fun with them. Of course having fun means eating them and I think I only went around and ate I believe two of them so that left 16 remaining in the box but at that point I was tired of lugging it around especially in the hot Florida weather so I decided to give it to a group of people who look like they just came from a prom so it was like a chocolatey present for them after finishing what they were … Continue reading Kit Kats

Burnt Wings

Well I fucked up dinner because I was careless. I tried some vegetable oil on a cast iron and I was doing fine with the first two flips, which were five minutes each. Honestly, after the 2nd flip, and therefore 10 minutes of cooking, I thought it was pretty much good to go, but that was where it went to shit. I decided to give it another 5 minutes then I went back to my room to pass the time, but then I started smelling burning shit and I was well fuck. Wings were ruined and I ended up eating … Continue reading Burnt Wings

Goalz Chocolate

Tried out some chocolate that is sugar free and I was surprised with how it turned out. First off, the shipping was fast as fuck, and I was only able to finish one of the tubs as of this posting. I got the stuff on Wednesday and it deceptively lasts longer than they look, because they’re discs akin to those peppermint patty chocolate things. The price altogether was about $40 including shipping, which seems steep, but I think the amount you get for that price is very good. I added about $7 to have it shipped with an ice pack … Continue reading Goalz Chocolate

Cook Out

On my way back from the trip I did earlier, I stopped by this restaurant called Cook Out and I was floored with how good this place was. This place doesn’t exist in Florida, at least not that I know of, and it’s insane how much food you can get for the price. It’s very value focused and I love it. The way it works is that you choose a tray, which is one main item, then two sides. You can sub the two sides for another main item. There’s also shakes and they were very rich, very good and … Continue reading Cook Out

Salmon

Getting back into that cooking thing with some salmon, because it’s the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday) and as you know, I can’t eat meat and I have to fast during that day. Anywho, I tried searing a piece of salmon on a cast iron and it went out good, but the inside was a bit too raw for my liking, which is something the oven could fix immediately. I do like the double method of searing the thing to lock in the stuff, then cooking the rest of the stuff in the oven so it’s an even temperature throughout. … Continue reading Salmon

Trying More of That Milk

Earlier I talked about how I tried the Rebel milk, but that was just the chocolate one. To update, I wholeheartedly recommend not just drinking that by itself if you are a bit sensitive to allulose. When I went to work after drinking some of the chocolate one I had to shit so bad because my stomach was building up so much gas. If you can afford to expel the toxins, then go for it. As for the regular one, it definitely tastes like cow’s milk which is something I’ve missed for so long, so no complaints here for both … Continue reading Trying More of That Milk

Milk I Found

I may have mentioned this way back when, but I started a low carb lifestyle and one of the biggest blows to that was the loss of milk. Specifically cow’s milk because I remember chugging that stuff when I was younger, and just liking the taste of dairy products in general. What surprises me is the lengths that people go to create things that recreate the things that I have given up, and I’m all for it because I just love myself a good tasting milk. Now, Rebel is a company that did ice cream and I have eaten their … Continue reading Milk I Found
