Fresh Wash And Cleaning

Bringing these two with me to California seemed to be an arduous task. The residual smell of the suitcase did not do any favors in regards to transporting them and leaving them stuck in their for almost close to a total of 12 hours, so you can imagine just the general smell of the suitcase rubbing off on them so that means I would have to have to put them inside the washing machine except that’s not how you do it with those kinds of items because they are very prone to warping or developing mildew if you do not … Continue reading Fresh Wash And Cleaning

Plane Cramps

This is way after the fact of it happening but I just had to say how much I hated being in a plane especially with how claustrophobic it is nowadays with how many people they try to fit inside it. I sat in the middle seat which I understand is all my problem because I had to reschedule my initial flight which was supposed to take place about 2 weeks after the time I actually did take it to begin with. I had a guy who I think was even larger than I am to my right and I felt … Continue reading Plane Cramps

Phil’s BBQ

When I was at the San Diego airport, I saw this restaurant called Phil’s BBQ and I decided to give it a shot. The place specializes mostly on sandwiches but does offer some small plates of barbecue but since the sandwiches seemed good based on their description, I went with the Philbuster or whatever it was called. It was a double cheeseburger with some pulled pork barbecue and an entire onion ring (that was large, I may add,) all sandwich would in a bun and honestly I had to pull it apart if I even thought about eating it because … Continue reading Phil’s BBQ

Dipping Noodles

Tried some dipping ramen at a place today and it was my first time trying the thing to begin with. So it’s cold noodles with a hot broth. They give you less broth than normal because said broth is super concentrated and not suitable for straight up drinking. The one thing that did get me is just how strong the entire thing was. It felt like there was this extreme smell that reminded me of fish sauce or bonito flakes and it smelled off to me. It didn’t stop me from eating, though, cause the noodles being relatively bland was … Continue reading Dipping Noodles

Time Zones Are Rough

Yeah, I’m in California right now. That means I’m 3 hours behind from what I’m normally used to which throws off so many things especially the time I have to be able to post something before it becomes the next day and as I would have missed a day in doing so. What I’m also not interested in is the fact that when I go back to Florida, It’s essentially a 6-hour trip that became a 9 hour trip because I traveled forward 3 hours to get back to my normal time zone. I sure I hope I will be … Continue reading Time Zones Are Rough

Frieren Quest Complete

I was definitely not expecting to be able to complete a set (so far, as volume 11 is slated to release in September) of this series in a decently moderate amount of time. Off the top of my head I believe the earlier volumes were way harder to obtain — especially volume 4. In my haste and perhaps desperation to obtain them in a timely manner, I ordered from quite a variety of different stores, and that is how I ended up with four copies of volume 4. Perhaps I can use this as a way to collect multiple sets, … Continue reading Frieren Quest Complete

Eyelid Swollen

Man, I can’t catch a break, can I? I just recovered from that random ass cough, and now I have a swollen lower eyelid on my left eye. I am not entirely certain how the thing came to be — maybe hair got in my eye when I was sleeping, thus making it retain some fluid, or it could be the onset of a stye or chalazion. The latter two I have had experience dealing with in the past so it’s really not a big deal. The swelling itself isn’t debilitating at all, but it makes me feel like I’m … Continue reading Eyelid Swollen
