That One Trip (Part 2)

I mentioned that the place I went to, Dezerland, had a surprising amount of quality Sega arcade games, and I meant it when I said it. Shooters and racing games galore, I was able to play some House of the Dead 4 with a friend, and we got past the first boss until we decided to play something else. I tried Let’s Go Island with another friend, and same deal, we got through the first area and we had fun. The highlight of the trip was definitely Outrun 2 SP SDX, which is a handful. It’s basically Outrun 2, but … Continue reading That One Trip (Part 2)

Boxed In

Got into an interesting situation today. I was on break and parked at a place and when I came back there was a truck unloading some crap but the truck parked as if it were the red line in the picture illustrated above. I was parked around where the blue dot is and I genuinely could not get out and I was at the mercy of the truck having to load and unload and then leave all the while wasting my time because I was on break as I had mentioned earlier. What a fucking disaster of a situation that … Continue reading Boxed In

FF14 Gear Grind

For those who aren’t aware, in FF14 there are multiple ways to obtain gear for the kinds of classes you play. Specifically for gathering and crafting classes, you have what is known as the relic, which is something you have to grind for across an overarching storyline or just a multi part quest. I don’t really vibe with that kind of progression so thankfully they do offer an option — just straight up crafting the entire set yourself. That’s what I’ll be doing and while it is annoying, the only thin you need is time, which is something I have … Continue reading FF14 Gear Grind

Costco

I think it mostly had to do with people making memes about the place, but I finally got around to getting a membership for Costco. Apparently there is a standard membership and also an executive membership that you can buy in order to enter any of the warehouses that the establishment owns. I decided to get the executive membership because I know my sister would love to use the second card. My mom always tags along with me whenever we go places so I felt it would be redundant for her to have her own card since she will be … Continue reading Costco

Reaching Out

Something I really like is seeing the progress of something whether it be something I do, or something that I am involved with but through the sidelines. In this example, someone I know who doesn’t really talk to many people, mostly due to shyness, started reaching out to people more and more, and it’s something I think is admirable because it shows initiative on their part to reach out, and it also means that there’s a good chance that there’s a snowball effect that will come out of that. As someone who didn’t really talk much growing up, I think … Continue reading Reaching Out

Sleep Debt

Yesterday night was super fun because I was able to play some games with people, but it went on for longer than I really wanted, and I paid the price for it. I had to take a nap at work because I felt my entire body just shutting down, but at least it was able to get me through the rest of the day. For reference, I normally try to be in bed around 9 or 10, but I was up til midnight and I usually need some time to actually settle down before I drift off to sleep. At … Continue reading Sleep Debt

Meeting Up With Old Friends

For the first time in several years, I ended up meeting up (online) with some friends I remember interacting with more than ten years ago, and it’s fucking wild to be able to talk with them as if nothing has happened. It felt like time did not pass at all and I was having a lot of fun. Speaking of time, I stayed way past my scheduled time for bed, but I don’t regret the time I spent because it was really fucking entertaining. With everything that has happened since the last decade, it’s always nice to reminisce and reconnect … Continue reading Meeting Up With Old Friends

That One Trip (Part 1)

Time to actually write about that trip I was hyping up the past week or two, because I actually did do it and I had a lot of fun. The only thing I wish was that it was longer, but there’s always more chances to go visit friends whenever I can. One of the places we went to was this place called Dezerland at Fun Spot, which had a surprisingly decent selection of arcade games. I’m not talking about redemption stuff or giant sized normie games. I’m talking about good shit from Sega like their shooters and racing games. As … Continue reading That One Trip (Part 1)

Unaware People

Had an interesting experience tonight, I ordered some food and waited for it to come out, standard stuff. The thing that got dicey was that when the food didn’t come for almost an hour, I just chalked it up to the place being busy. When I checked back with the place, it turns out that the food got brought to another place and I had a new batch made just for me. I don’t blame the service or anything like that, I’m more concerned with the fact that random people just didn’t go “hey we didn’t order this.” Of course, … Continue reading Unaware People
