Duties Of A Teacher Pt. 2

To expand on the idea of being approachable to other people, I point towards the ability to just pay attention to your surroundings, or in this case, to the person you’re planning on communicating with. Someone once told me that communication is the easiest thing to do that is so often overlooked, and almost all types of misunderstandings can be cut at the root before it has a chance to sprout into something off-putting. I think the main thing here is assumptions — just because you think someone should know something, doesn’t mean that they will know it. Does that … Continue reading Duties Of A Teacher Pt. 2

Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

I’ve had this Kokkoro plush for longer than I have had the not fumo, so I might be a bit biased by liking this one more. I think the general design and proportions are a lot more appealing to me but that’s not to say that I dislike how the not fumo was designed. I noticed that the bean had a similar (read: exact same) look at the plush so I decided to look at them together and lo and behold, they look the same. The sliced smile and the blushing cheeks just accentuate her expression to me and I … Continue reading Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

Duties Of A Teacher

I’ve always been fascinated by the ability to learn and teach, and how both of them interact with each other. It could be due to the media I’ve consumed that portrayed teaching and learning in interesting ways, or it could be because I want to believe that I have a very approachable way of passing down knowledge to other people — useful in the real world or not. Over time I’ve been given the ability to be somewhat of a teacher based on the things that I have already done, and I think it’s a nice skill to have. Essentially … Continue reading Duties Of A Teacher

Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

More Kokkoro merchandise! I was surprised when I got the bean plushie because it was flat as a pancake when it came in. I was worried that it was damaged but it inflated back up after some squishing in the inverse perpendicular direction. As far as the memory shard keychain goes, I’m interested in this thing not peeling out unlike the acrylic keychains I got for Fire Emblem Engage. I’ll be sure to treat it properly this time, but I’m keeping my head high this time. Continue reading Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

Oh Right, I Actually Cooked Something

I’ve been so lazy the past few months and I can feel it in more ways than one. Starting now I’m going back on that cooking thing so I can have control what I’m doing and also save up some money for something special. With that out of the way, I went back and did that mushroom soup thing I talked about during the beginning of the year, then did a cast iron ribeye. It’s alright and does what it has to do. Food good, yes, practice and whatnot. Going through the motions is getting easier with each subsequent attempt, … Continue reading Oh Right, I Actually Cooked Something

Nendoroid + Figure Spotting

Marine from Hololive and Lappland from Arknights. Both $45 from a neat second hand store. No idea if they’ve been opened, but I think the Lappland one is. Figures below: Really does look like someone had to sell a bit of their stash, and I think seeing a bunch of stuff come in at once tells a story of who the owner was. Either way, it’s pretty neat to be able to see these kinds of things in a relatively local area. I’ve gone on record by showing my disinterest in Funko Pops, because I feel like they’re super soulless. Continue reading Nendoroid + Figure Spotting

Expensive Complete In Box (?) Game

Jesus christ. Even if it does look like it’s complete, the box itself is torn. Even with the Pokemon tax, I still think that’s a hefty demand. I’m sure someone will get it anyway though. What I’m curious about is its functionality. I know you can transfer from Gen 3 to 4 using Pal Park, then 4 to 5 using some migration function. I don’t really follow Pokemon after Gen 5, but I am aware of Pokebank (Pokemon Home now?) allowing the function of transferring. Problem is I believe the 3DS shop is dead so I genuinely have no idea … Continue reading Expensive Complete In Box (?) Game

Sleep Good

Ohhhhhh man. I thoroughly enjoyed actually having days off and now I can continue with my scheduled rambling (kinda sorta.) I want to operate in a way like The Sims where my sleep meter drains the more I’m awake, and when I sleep, it fills up until full then I wake up. That’s what I want my entire schedule to revolve around, and maybe one day it’ll be that way. Anyway, sleep is good, and go get some. Continue reading Sleep Good

Fatigue REALLY Setting In

It feels like my soul has left my body. Just one more day. In other news, I’ve been so behind on getting my new pair of glasses. My left eye apparently got slightly worse, which I think is fine since three or four years have passed since I got my current pair. The new pair has been ready since last Monday but I’ve been so busy that I can’t go. The hours that the place is open is also early morning early, so I’m pretty much screwed if I have to work — which is every day the last week. … Continue reading Fatigue REALLY Setting In
