30MS SIS-GC69R ALKA-CARTI

What’s this? An entire month without any entries? Fuck, my bad. Anyway, I’ve been getting more and more into model kits and I’m slowly getting the hang of them. I’ve gone through the phase of getting an actual cutter (God Hand, bless,) and I’m still learning how the hell to use the sanding blocks. I think I’ve come a bit of a decent step up compared to my first try on the chitocerium model, so let’s go. Continue reading 30MS SIS-GC69R ALKA-CARTI

chitocerium VI-carbonia lonsdaleite

Second ever model I’ve completed. Still a bit rough on the edges, but I still love her nonetheless. Really need to invest in some better tools because the first half (the head, arms, and torso) were made from just pinching out the parts myself. It hurts the living shit out of my hands, and it leaves a lot of nubs that look rather unsightly. This specific one, Lonsdaleite, seems to be the leader of the group, which definitely explains why her model is the hardest one to find. I’m treasuring her. chitocerium

Got one of these from AmiAmi because I saw some really nice art of the pictured character (blue armor.) I really dig the aesthetic of this series because it places you (as in the person building them) as the person who has freed them. They come in a case that also functions as the stand, and they’re in a fetal position (or rather curled up in a ball.) You unfold them yourself and then you get to building them, and I’m definitely excited to bring this one out to a little event happening on Sunday — bring model kits and … Continue reading chitocerium

Burg & Saus

Getting back in the groove of using the grill. Probably not the best time to get back into it since it’s Summer and all the randoms are gonna start using it. It’s not that they’re using it, it’s more that THEY DON’T FUCKING CLEAN IT UP. Sure, you can clean it easily yourself but it’s more the courtesy of it. Fuck people. Anyway, burgers and sausages. I’ve always grilled (propane) by putting the heat on high and closing the lid. I found out that is a disastrous idea because I can’t see what’s going on, and the high heat means … Continue reading Burg & Saus

The Year Long Story Project

Art by https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/69588208 I may or may not have mentioned this previously, but in July of 2022 I went to therapy from the suggestion of a good friend. Long story short, it has been a huge turn around for me in general, and one of the activities I was given was to write a short story where I try to link my own personal issues to an ongoing narrative. I went with making a fantasy story with characters inspired by multiple people in my life, and it was great having a deadline for it. I was required to set a … Continue reading The Year Long Story Project

New York Visit – Part 1

Always glad to see some snow, being from Florida and all. I’ve decided to split the recollection of this visit into different categories. I’ll be saving the good shit (Kotobukiya and Nintendo World) for their own separate respective posts. For now, it’ll just be things I did besides play Fire Emblem Engage all day. If you couldn’t tell from the presence of snow, IT’S COLD. I’m glad I got some new vest jackets to wear since I’ve always been fond of them. It just sort of happened and it’s now part of my style. I think this was taken while … Continue reading New York Visit – Part 1

Car Troubles

I don’t know jack about cars. If it drives and brings me places, it’s good enough. Maybe it’s time I changed that mindset because I’ve had my car break down on me — or rather, just the battery. I noticed a few days ago that the light came on for the battery, so I decided to bring it to a shop and got the battery changed. Things seemed fine until I also went to get some gas and fill my tires with air, and then my car just stopped responding. There were so many new things I learned that day, … Continue reading Car Troubles
