Rimuru Blanket

Picked this up at Fundom because I like Rimuru, and it has a very nice feel to it. It was about $20 and it’s a throw blanket, so it roughly covers someone of my height. I guess it’s perfect for those kinds of comfy situations where you have something thrown over your body but not fully. Kinda like a cape or those things where you sit down outside like it’s Yuru Camp and you’re by the campfire sipping some hot chocolate under the night sky. The material does feel very pleasant on the body and it does a great job … Continue reading Rimuru Blanket

Appeal of Guest Artists

Konosuba has been around for a good amount of time now, and something I always heard a few people say was that the art style (of the show, most likely,) appears to be a bit too clean, for a lack of a better word. It has that sharp, clean style that a lot of people associate with A1, as seen in Sword Art Online, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It’s a very approachable and attractive style, if not simple. This is where the importance of guest artists come in. Pictured is a Konosuba fanbook and there … Continue reading Appeal of Guest Artists

Vintage Complete Set

Pictured above is the complete “set” of Cardcaptor Sakura. it’s the actual uncut version too, and not that weird dub that was a Saturday morning cartoon. It’s wild to see that this format of DVDs where you had three or four episodes per volume is fully collected and essentially complete to sell. I can imagine a die-hard fan collecting all of these and having to sadly part with them for reasons such as money or just not being a fan anymore. Either way, this makes an excellent way for someone who wants to experience the series because it offers an … Continue reading Vintage Complete Set

Book That Caught My Eye

Saw this while browsing through a manga section of a store and there’s really no other way to say it but it definitely caught my eye for very obvious reasons. I ended up buying it and I’m actually impressed that this is an ongoing thing. I believe there’s five volumes out in other countries, but only one volume so far here in the US. As far as the story goes, it’s essentially what you think it is, so if this kind of thing doesn’t interest you (why the fuck would you buy it to begin with if it didn’t) then … Continue reading Book That Caught My Eye

Weeb Supra Sighted

Not mine, but a spotting from someone I know who saw this Supra near his work. I’m always interesting in seeing how people can pimp their cars out in any way that they want. They can use anime, stuff like those Ron Jon Surf Shops, or whatever other shit there is to put. I believe the term is Itasha when it comes to weebshit? Unless I can be super confident of who I put on my car, I don’t see myself doing this kind of thing on my own car… yet. Honestly, maybe a Kokkoro car would be bitchin’ and … Continue reading Weeb Supra Sighted

Rimuru Hoodie

I got this when I was at Wasabicon and I’m loving it. The material is very soft, and reminds me of the kind of material used for sports jerseys. Now I can show how much I like stuff in public, especially when I’m at the arcade. If I were to go into specifics about it, I would say it’s a bit too long length wise. Same with the sleeves, but I can do that thing the cute anime girls do where they put their arms completely covered like some ghost or something. Continue reading Rimuru Hoodie

Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

I’ve had this Kokkoro plush for longer than I have had the not fumo, so I might be a bit biased by liking this one more. I think the general design and proportions are a lot more appealing to me but that’s not to say that I dislike how the not fumo was designed. I noticed that the bean had a similar (read: exact same) look at the plush so I decided to look at them together and lo and behold, they look the same. The sliced smile and the blushing cheeks just accentuate her expression to me and I … Continue reading Kokkoro Bean Pt. 2

Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

More Kokkoro merchandise! I was surprised when I got the bean plushie because it was flat as a pancake when it came in. I was worried that it was damaged but it inflated back up after some squishing in the inverse perpendicular direction. As far as the memory shard keychain goes, I’m interested in this thing not peeling out unlike the acrylic keychains I got for Fire Emblem Engage. I’ll be sure to treat it properly this time, but I’m keeping my head high this time. Continue reading Kokkoro Bean + Keychain

Nendoroid + Figure Spotting

Marine from Hololive and Lappland from Arknights. Both $45 from a neat second hand store. No idea if they’ve been opened, but I think the Lappland one is. Figures below: Really does look like someone had to sell a bit of their stash, and I think seeing a bunch of stuff come in at once tells a story of who the owner was. Either way, it’s pretty neat to be able to see these kinds of things in a relatively local area. I’ve gone on record by showing my disinterest in Funko Pops, because I feel like they’re super soulless. Continue reading Nendoroid + Figure Spotting
