Nidhogg II – Thoughts and Mini-Guide

A special version of Nidhogg II was made with its own cabinet and I decided to give it a try. It’s fun but prepared to get fucking pissed off real quick. I never played the first Nidhogg but from what I gather it was a type of dueling territory control game with a graphical style not unlike what you would see on an Atari system. Arcade Culture (& Why I Hate Dance Gamers)

I spend a lot of my time nowadays going over to a nearby barcade. This specific one drew me in because it’s a combination of pinball and REAL arcade games. I say that because it has very few normie games that you would find at Dave & Busters — none of these oversized phone games or stripped down ports of actual games. My Crazy Taxi History

Summer of 2021 was when the arcade near me obtained a stand up version of Crazy Taxi, and it was one of the games where I thought it would be fun to get good at. I decided to learn a lot of the more intricate techniques needed to perform well, and looking back, I was playing pretty inadequately at the time.
