For those who don’t know, there’s a bit of a lottery when it comes to getting a hotel for this convention, which I’ve never been to until starting next year. The jist is you’re put into a waitlist assuming you were able to make it and stay in the waiting room for an hour after it opened. It’s a huge convention so it tends to sell out quick, and I guess I was extremely lucky that I was able to get the spot I did. I hear from a friend that there was an error with booking so the queue would run out faster than what they originally thought, so I guess that makes my luck even better than what I thought it would be. That means that my luck for the rest of the year is probably down the drain, but hey, I was able to secure a spot for a huge ass event that’s going on next year, and I’m happy about that — especially since I’ll be able to spend it with a few people I know and take the chance to just relax for a bit especially with how my schedule has been so far.
